Heather Bannister

Heather Bannister started her career as a Training Coordinator in homeland security working for the New Jersey Office of Counter-Terrorism for the State of New Jersey in 2002 just months after 9/11. The office changed its name in 2003 to the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP). NJOHSP leads and coordinates New Jersey's counterterrorism, cybersecurity and preparedness efforts while building resiliency throughout the State.  Heather was in charge of coordinating all Law Enforcement training for the State of New Jersey. She was responsible for development of additional curriculums for the Law Enforcement training and did so by reviewing and attending numerous training courses offered by other state, federal and local agencies.


Heather utilized her experience at NJOHSP to successfully serve as Director of Administration for Protecting the Homeland Innovations (PHI)LLC.  PHI is a Massachusetts based company that is an approved GSA Schedule vendor that provides dynamic training for active shooter awareness, workplace violence, security awareness and anti-terrorism training.  In her role at PHI, Heather has assisted in training tens of thousands of law enforcement officials and civilians throughout the United States. She is also responsible for developing and analyzing training needs assessments and surveys to help understand potential deficiencies and gaps.


Heather continues to oversee the day-to-day administrative services for PHI by coordinating the internal team and all clients that they engage with.  She oversees the office operations and procedures, financial obligations and compliance, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.  Similarly, Heather direclty manages the day-to-day administrative and financial services for Strategy Edge and also supports the Company's training and consulting services. 

 

Heather holds a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University in Urban Early and Middle Education. She was awarded the Teamwork/Partnership Achievement Award in May of 2006.
